YESNO
4th August 2007 (Sat)
Just read Amanda's blog. Still as interesting as before. Her latest post was something I can genuinely relate to.
Being nice means you're making the people you're being nice to happy. Some people enjoy making their friends happy, at the cost of their precious time (I admit seeing the thankful faces of our friends can be really rewarding). Conversely, you'll indirectly suffer from it at times. You feel being made use of. You question yourself whether it's worth going through all you've done to help them.
It's our choice, really. Learn to say 'No' and you don't have to face all of these. But you're faced with another problem: you'll be regarded as a friend who are not always willing to lend a helping hand. You might've provided your reasons of not helping but that sort of dilemma is unavoidable. At the same time, you feel bad for not helping. However, by saying 'No', you escape from the trouble of having to go through all the hassle just to help your friend.
If we're not willing to give up our good boy/good gal image or it's simply too hard to say 'No', we have to bear with the consequences of not being rejective.
Yes or no, the choice is ours.
We reap what we sow.

Well, I agree that it's our choice to say No. But sometimes, it is easier said than done. Gosh! That's life I suppose.
Agree..which is why 'it's simply too hard to say No'
Yeam, ultimately you live your life for yourself and not others...so it doesn't matter what people think of you =) so long as you're happy and satisfied with your own life; that's the most important, no? keep smiling!
sigh. life is hard, isnt it?
i mean you want to do what's best for you but at the same time, you don't want to come out as the bad guy either.
